ABOUT THE ROLE...

We seek an experienced, enthusiastic, and detail-focused Payroll Accountant to permanently join the Finance team in a full-time capacity based at Adelaide Zoo.

You will report directly to the Manager of Finance and assist and support the accounting and payroll services for ZOOSSA. You will work in a busy team, focusing on (however not limited to):

• Acquire a detailed understanding of the payroll processes and contribute to ensure that these accurately reflect Zoos SA's legal and financial obligations
• Reconcile payroll processes against the finance systems and ensure accurate maintenance of payroll codes
• Work closely with the Payroll Manager, HR and finance teams in the development of the payroll budget, reports, and ad-hoc projects
• Prepare and enhance monthly FTE and Expenditure analysis.
• Development of Excel Models

Our successful candidate will have a can-do, proactive attitude with a positive approach to challenges. You will also be able to solve problems and work well under pressure.  The successful candidate will have/be – 

• Payroll experience
• Qualifications in Accounting/Finance/Commerce;
• Excellent communication and customer service skills across all internal and external stakeholders;
• High proficiency Excel
• Experience in the development of budgets
• Be accountable for your work and demonstrate high levels of attention to detail;
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively both autonomously and in a team environment;
• Strong analytical skills.
