Monarto Safari Park - Multiple Casual Opportunities (Internal Applicants Only)

Monarto Safari Park, spanning over 1,500 hectares of stunning fauna and flora, is set to become the largest safari park outside of Africa, and we're thrilled to announce our expansion! By 2025, our park will feature a first-of-its-kind luxury resort and glamping facilities, allowing for extended stays and a variety of new and wild safari experiences in an area known as Wild Africa, including incredible tours through herds of roaming animals.

 

Join our team and be part of the excitement as we welcome five majestic Asian elephants during 2025, offering a unique and thrilling opportunity to work closely with these incredible creatures!

 

ABOUT THE ROLE...

Zoos SA is looking for additional staff to grow the Visitor Operations team at Monarto Safari Park as Visitor Services Officers in a casual capacity. The casual position has the opportunity for additional hours at peak periods.

 

As part of our Visitor Experience team, you will:

  • meet & greet visitors upon arrival processing entrance fees
  • assist with customer enquiries, tours and experiences across Zoos SA
  • process payments and complete required documentation for admissions, donations, membership, cross property promotions, animal experiences, group tours and retail purchases
  • facilitate Group tour arrivals/check-ins, providing information on times, meeting locations, waivers, restrictions and assisting in all visitor queries.
  • pro-actively promote and book animal experiences and cross property offers.
  • promote the selling of Zoos SA products

ABOUT YOU...

 

To be considered for these positions you will currently be employed as a Zoos SA staff member and need to meet the following selection criteria and demonstrate the ability to:

  • arrange personal and teamwork routines and practices to make optimum use of time and resources
  • operate computerized systems, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • communicate effectively, verbally and in writing with internal and external customers, contacts, potential sponsors and suppliers
  • demonstrated experience in customer service
  • confident operating autonomously and great in a team environment
  • outgoing personality, enjoys interacting & engaging with people
  • work consistently to established standard operating procedures
  • thrive in extremely busy situations
  • make decisions quickly regarding minor emergencies
  • demonstrate experience in a computerised booking, membership and point of sales systems
  • demonstrate knowledge and experience in handling public enquiries and complaints
